This week (9/5) CureMetrix launched a joint research project with Tijuana General Hospital. With the help and support of the Chief of Radiology (el Jefe de Imagenología del Hospital General de Tijuana) we have undertaken the analysis of over 13,000 mammogram images.
The hospital is partnering with CureMetrix to help us understand the pathologically validated outcomes of the studies to enable CM to train our learning algorithm. Together we will apply the BIRAD classification system and evaluate both initial and confirmed diagnosis to help reduce false positives.
We expect this retrospective study to last approximately three months. The study will identify the prospective data types best suited for side-by-side evaluation with radiologists to validate the efficacy of our algorithm.
